2024 NUTCRACKER! Magical Christmas Ballet Tour Poster 11 x 7 About the Artist: Gertrud is a French illustrator who lives and works in the depths of the Sarthe countryside. As a child, she admired the poster work of Toulouse-Lautrec. She pursued English studies, concluded with a thesis on collage and painting in “Brazil” by Terry Gilliam. Concurrently, she lent her talent to a student theater troupe by designing their posters. In 2003, she jumped on a train to Paris to train in puppetry, all while taking on various jobs to support herself and fund her passions. In 2009, she presented her first exhibition, “I Eat Ketchup,” a series of posters navigating between faux advertising and Soviet propaganda. In 2013, she won the illustration contest at the Paris Book Fair, before joining the agency Illutrissimo in 2015. Her varied journey has enriched her artistic style, providing her with a unique sensitivity and conceptual depth for tackling all sorts of projects.
