Description Wheelchair Sling Seat Rigidizer Cushion Solid Support Base with Safety Straps The Secure® SCSS-1 Wheelchair Sling Seat Rigidizer Cushion Solid Support Base with Safety Straps is designed to fill the concave gap naturally created when a resident or patient is seated in a soft vinyl sling-style wheelchair seat. The convex bottom of the seat rigidizer fills the concave gap, providing a flat, firm surface to support flat-bottom wheelchair cushions. The rigidizer is designed to decrease the hammocking effect of wheelchair sling seat upholstery, providing a firm, stable base of support. It helps provide a solid surface to eliminate uneven weight distribution and assists with proper posture & comfort of your patient or resident. For many wheelchair users, sling seating promotes internal rotation of the lower extremities, sacral sitting, posterior pelvic tilt, loss of natural lumbar lordosis, and pelvic obliquity. Such poor positioning can lead to discomfort and long-term issues. The Secure rigidizer support helps prevent these issues from occurring.
